Synopsis
Indeed, the girls managed for the day of the audition to repeat over and over again.  This stopped once they realized that they had to continue life after Saki moved.  In the end the girls asked the rock to end the miracles, and simply hoped that they could always be best friends.

Analysis
Sorry for the long delay.  I had trouble getting to watch the final episode of Natsuiro Kiseki because I felt it was going to be too dumb.  Episode 12 went as I expected, but it was better than anticipated because it had a neat final message.  This episode gets a 8 out of 10.

Synopsis
Irisu and Houtarou met to further discuss the findings on the movie.  Despite his apathy and modesty, Irisu praised Houtarou for his extraordinary ability to decipher mysteries.  Houtarou was reluctant to accept the praise, but something about Irisu's words appears to have provoked a big reaction on him.  Just when Houtarou appeared to have figured out the mystery surrounding the movie, a new bump on the road appeared.

Analysis
Episode 10 of Hyouka was enjoyable and high quality (as usual).  Two things caught my attention.  The first is the strange reaction Houtarou seems to be having because of Irisu.  If Irisu were to be added to the main cast permanently, it could spice up the series that at times seems to lack excitement.  The other interesting thing is that after an exchange about special abilities between Satoshi and Houtarou, the former declared envy for the latter.  This episode gets a 9 out of 10.

Synopsis
After a funeral for Yuuko was held, Yuuko decided that she and Teiichi should had a proper date.  They had a fun time until the sad reality hit them: Yuuko is a ghost ready to move on after she merged with her shadow and accepted her death.  After a very emotional farewell that culminated with a kiss, Yuuko vanished.  But, Yuuko reappeared, saying she was not ready to move on yet.

Analysis
Episode 12 of Dusk Maiden of Amnesia was well crafted with the usual gorgeous animation and an emotional and powerful love scene, coupled with a sad but beautiful song.  Up to this point, the conclusion was very good and would have enhanced the legacy of the series as a whole.  But the creators had to screw the mature ending by making Yuuko return.  If this was done to hint at a potential second season, it was unnecessary.  This episode gets a 7 out of 10.

Synopsis
The idol audition in Tokyo finally arrived.  Uncharastically Yuka was feeling nervous and depressed about their chances of passing the audience.  Unfortunately for the girls, they did not pass the audition.  After reminding themselves that Saki was moving at the end of summer, a sad Natsumi and a sad but positive Saki wished that summer never ended.  And apparently, their wish came true.

Analysis
Episode 11 of Natsuiro Kiseki was good for the most part.  There is not really much to analyze.  I was going to give this episode a better grade, but making this particular summer go on forever seems like a dumb move, especially near the end of the series.  This episode gets a 7 out of 10.

Synopsis
Episode 9 f Hyouka picked up where the last episode left.  The members of the Classics Club heard the theories of three students in regards to the murderer in the unfinished movie.  In the end nothing was solved.  The mystery will apparently continue because after school, Houtarou ran into Irisu.

Analysis
This is a hard to watch episode because the case is boring.  I am not a big fun of most of the mysteries solved in Hyouka this far, but this case has to be the least interesting.  The only worthy thing of episode 9 is that Chitanda got drunk eating liquor chocolates.  Hopefully the incomplete movie mystery will be solved in the next episode.  This episode gets a 6 out of 10.

Synopsis
As a result of seeing Yuuko's memories, Teiichi could not touch Yuuko because it reminded her of the painful past.  Teiichi was desperate, but Kirie decided to help him.  After Teiichi and Yuuko learned to communicate through a notebook, Kirie introduced her grandmother, Yukariko, to Teiichi.  Teiichi and Yuuko confronted Shadow Yuuko.  This time Teiichi appeared to have convinced the two Yuukos to merge.

Analysis
Episode 11 of Dusk Maiden of Amnesia has paved the way to the conclusion of the series.  There is not much to analyze, except for Kirie's decision to give up Teiichi's love in favor of seeing him and Yuuko happy together.  Things to have finally started to solve, but the mysterious ending of episode 11 has left some doubts.  This episode gets a 9 out of 10.

Synopsis
The members of the Classics Club were asked by a female student, Irisu Fuyumi, to preview an incomplete murder-mystery movie made by members of a class.  This episode's mystery consisted in figuring out who was the murderer in the movie.  None of the members of the club had a clear idea on who the culprit was, but Houtarou reluctantly agreed to try to figure out the mystery in cooperation with other students.

Analysis
Episode 8 of Hyouka was hard to watch because it was simply boring.  Nothing was solved and the episode ended in a pointless cliffhanger.  The only redeemable aspect of this episode was the inclusion of the cool and mysterious Irisu Fuyumi.  I give this episode a 7 out of 10.

Synopsis
In episode 10 of Dusk Maiden of Amnesia, Teiichi relived the memories of Yuuko's death through her eyes.  Sixty years ago an epidemic was ravaging the town where Seikyou Academy is located.  Yuuko was taking care of a little girl, Asa (who was probably already infected).  Yuuko's sister, Yukariko, opposed this, but good hearted Yuuko wanted to help as much as she could.  Things turned horrible when some crazed adults decided to sacrifice Asa in the hope of ending the epidemic.  Yuuko went to Asa's rescue and ended up being the sacrifice instead.

Analysis
This was an emotional episode.  There were not many new revelations because most of the information in the episode has been revealed during the series.  The most significant revelation is that Yuuko bitterly accepted her fate to be a sacrifice, but she was forced by the crazy adults.  This was a very good episode, but I will only give it a 9 out of 10 because most of the information from this episode was previously revealed.

Synopsis
As a typhoon approached to the town, the girls remembered a time when they went ghost hunting four years ago (during a typhoon too).  The girls had trouble remembering what happened and asked the rock to help them remember.  The rock transported the younger versions of the girls to the present.  It was a very entertaining episode with a cool revelation (I do not want to spoil it and would take a while to explain).  At the end of episode 10, Yuka revealed that she signed up the girls for an audition for an idol group.

Analysis
This was a very good, fun and entertaining episode.  Despite being back to the town setting, the content felt fresher.  I had a good laugh watching the mischievous young versions of the girls squabble with their older counterparts.  I think this is the best episode of the series so far.  Episode 10 of Natsuiro Kiseki also proves that the creators of the series can make episodes that do not feel redundant and boring.  This episode gets a solid and strong 9 out of 10.

Synopsis
Episode 7 of Hyouka was a bit more relaxed.  The guys decided to go to a hot spring during their ongoing summer vacation.  They stayed for free at an inn owned by Mayaka's relatives.  This episode's mystery revolved around a shadow that looked like a person hung.  It turned out that the shadow was a yukata hung to dry by a cousin of Mayaka.

Analysis
I really enjoyed this episode, and the series continues to be solid but not spectacular yet.  The best things about episode 7 were Houtarou's having dirty thoughts about Chitanda, and their potential romantic relationship continuing to develop.  This is a strong episode that gets a 9 out of 10.
