Synopsis
The mystery of the festival theft finally arrived.  As usual, Houtarou was reluctant to investigate a new mystery.  But as usual, he was unable to resist Chitanda's and his own curiosity.  Not much was advanced with the mystery though.  Mayaka continued to be bothered by her club mates and looked very depressed.  In the last scene of the episode, Satoshi vowed to solve the new mystery and beat Houtarou in the process.

Analysis
Another mystery arrived, but episode 15 of Hyouka was not dull.  We saw Chitanda put into practice the tips Irisu gave her to manipulate people.  Satoshi's jealousy toward Houtarou seems to have surfaced again.  Mayaka is becoming a dearer characters to me, but it is heart breaking to see her depressed and love Satoshi in secret.  This episode gets a 9 out of 10.

Synopsis
After learning about Yui's trauma, Iori and Tachi took Inaba home.  Once in her house, Inaba told Iori to confess her trauma to Taichi (Iori frowned upon this because it was supposed to be a secret).  Iori told Taichi that she had been forced to change personalities to fit the attitudes of the five husbands her mother has had.  Iori is afraid because she does not know what her real personality is.  Taichi assured her that things will be fine, and that he will never forget who the real Iori is.

In the second half of the episode, Inaba told Taichi that she was not doing well.  Inaba is uneasy about swapping bodies because she does not trust people by nature.  Taichi told her that this is not a problem, and that she should share this with the other members of the club.  Taichi also told Inaba that he also had a terrible secret: he had masturbated to her and Iori and Yui as well.  The other guys showed Inaba that she should not worry about her issue.  Finally, Inaba told Taichi that she also had masturbated to him.

Analysis
Episode 4 of Kokoro Connect was a great experience.  I was glad to learn that Taichi seems to be in love with Iori, and the feeling appears to be mutual.  Sadly, Taichi seems to be unable to express this love, in part due to Inaba's branding of him as a "selfless freak."  We also learned more of the personality of the mysterious and cool Inaba.  I do not want this to happen, but all the girls appear to be falling in love with Taichi.  This is the best episode of Kokoro Connect so far; it gets a 10 out of 10.

Synopsis
Ryousuke decided to invite Rokka to an amusement park she once visited with Atsushi.  Ryousuke wanted to see Rokka smile, just like she was in a picture taken with Atsushi when they went to the same park.  The date was bittersweet because Ryousuke and Rokka had a good time, but she ended up crying, remembering Atsushi.  After Ryousuke apparently felt rejected by Rokka (after proposing to have sex with her), he got drunk and agreed to let Atsushi borrow his body.

Analysis
Episode 4 of Natsuyuki Rendezvous was very enjoyable but also sad.  Atsushi's tears, after taking over Ryousuke's body, were very touching.  After watching a third of Natsuyuki Rendezvous, I am very glad I picked this series to follow and blog about.  My only little gripe is that Rokka seems to not really being able to move on from Atsushi's death.  Otherwise, Natsuyuki Rendezvous has been a great series and a joy to watch.  This episode gets a 10 out of 10.

Synopsis
The school's festival continued.  A curious thing occurred after Irisu agreed to help Chitanda sell Hyouka anthologies.  Chitanda asked Irisu to show her how to be more assertive around people.  Irisu agreed, but more or less told Chitanda how to manipulate people.  The rest of the episode focused on a cooking contest, where Satoshi, Chitanda and Mayaka participated as members of the Classics Club.  They ended up winning mostly because Chitanda was superb, and even Houtarou lent them a hand.

Analysis
Episode 14 of Hyouka was solid.  The school's festival seems like a big success.  It seems like we are embarking into a new mystery.  This time it is centered on a series of thefts that have occurred throughout  the school's festival.  With less than ten episodes to go, Hyouka would appear to end up being a series of short stories, instead of a running narrative.  The next episodes are crucial to determine the overall value of the series.  Episode 14 gets a 8 out of 10.

Synopsis
While Taichi and (Himeko) Inaba were collecting trash, she urged him to start dating Iori before Maiko Fujishima (a girl and student from the school) did.  Inaba was also worried about the negative consequences that body swapping might have on them.  After a prank of Taichi and Aoki (while being in Inaba's and Yui's bodies respectively), it became obvious that Yui was afraid of men.  The reason of this fear is that she was almost raped once.  Taichi managed to comfort Yui.  The next day in school Inaba fainted right after affirming that body swapping might not be such a terrible situation after all.

Analysis
Episode 3 of Kokoro Connect was very good.  I like that this episode shifted the focus from the unnatural phenomena to character development.  I think that the rape revelation was a very bold move.  I hope that the personalities and back stories of the other characters are explored as well.  I hope the series continues to be strong.  I give this episode a 9 out of 10.

Synopsis
Rokka was in bed with a cold.  Despite Atsushi's opposition, Ryousuke went to comfort Rokka, and she responded to him by hugging him.  Atsushi became so upset that apparently made Rokka's room and the shop shake up.  Ryousuke proposed to help Atsushi to move on.  Atsushi accepted, but he wants to borrow Ryousuke's body first.  Rokka and Ryousuke continued to get closer, but her memories and Atsushi's attitude seem like a great barrier.

Analysis
Episode 3 of Natsuyuki Rendezvous was more dramatic than the first two.  We continue to see that Rokka and Ryousuke are very attracted to each other, but they have a long way to go before they can stay together.  It was also kind of scary to learn that Atsushi might be able to move physical objects.  I am still adoring this series.  I give this episode a 9 out of 10.

Synopsis
The school's festival continued.  We saw more of the somewhat depressed Mayaka, who had a squabble about manga with an annoying upperclasswoman from the manga club.  At the end of the episode a very funny and awkward thing occurred.  Chitanda realized that Houtarou saw some pictures of her cosplaying (taken at a festival's booth) without permission.

Analysis
There is not much to analyze.  Episode 13 of Hyouka was strong because we continued to see other aspects from the main characters' personalities.  I am very glad the creators of the series opted out from introducing a new mystery.  I give this episode a 8 out of 10.

Synopsis
The craziness continued as the main protagonists kept switching bodies.  A funny thing happened when Iori got mad at Taichi for touching her breasts while their bodies were switched.  Things came to a screeching halt when a strange entity inside Goto (a laid back teacher) explained that it was responsible for the body swapping.  The strange entity also told them that it is conducting an experiment with them and that they had to shut up accept the current situation.

Analysis
Episode 2 of Kokoro Connect did a better job setting the premise of the series.  The possibilities of comical situations are very good with the boys inside girl bodies angle.  Besides comedy, I am hopeful that we may see moments of high tension and reflection as more things are revealed.  The characters seem formulaic, but I like them, especially Himeko Inaba.  This episode gets a 9 out of 10.

Synopsis
Atsushi remembered the time when he was alive at the start of the episode.  Things between Ryousuke and Rokka seemed to be stuck thanks, in part, to the ghost of Atsushi making life hard for Ryousuke.  Despite this, Ryousuke took Rokka again to dinner.  Things were getting steamy until an insult from Ryousuke directed at Atsushi reminded Rokka of how much she suffered and cried when her husband died.

Analysis
Episode 2 of Natsuyuki Rendezvous was very bittersweet.  In the one hand, Rokka and Ryousuke seem very attracted to each other and ready to move to a more physical relationship.  But at the same time, Rokka has not fully come to terms with Atsushi's death.  I am enjoying this series tremendously, and I look forward to more great episodes.  This episode gets a 10 out 10.

Synopsis
In the night prior to the start of the Kamiyama High's cultural festival, Mayaka felt uneasy.  She felt that it was her fault that a printing shop accidentally printed 200 copies (instead of only 30 they wanted) of the Hyouka anthology the Classics Club planned to sell during the festival.  Mayaka became a bit settled after the other members of the club assured her that they were to blame as well.  The rest of the episode is spent watching the members of the Classics Club interact with the festival.

Analysis
Episode 12 of Hyouka was very enjoyable because the series went out of its element a bit.  It was very amusing watching Chitanda trying to avoid being drawn into the festival (which she failed miserably) in order to keep focused on doing all she  could to sell as many anthologies as possible.  It was also interesting to see a preoccupied and less energetic as usual Mayaka.  The festival will continue in the next episode.  This episode gets a 9 out of 10.
